The weakened ringgit has led to a price increase of badminton equipment. It is understood that retailers will increase the prices of racquets, strings, shuttlecocks, court shoes and other equipment by 10-15% this month. My Sports Home owner Chan Huan Choon said a single tube of shuttlecocks would see a price hike of at least RM5.

Beginning Tuesday, electronic gadgets will be allowed to be used on flights on four Taiwanese airlines. Passengers travelling on China Airlines, Eva Air, Mandarin Airlines and Uni Air can use their gadgets throughout the flight, as long as they set their devices to airplane mode. However, laptop and electronic devices weighing 1kg or more can only be used when the aircraft is at 10,000 feet.
