An Indonesian man in his 50s had his Malaysian permanent resident status revoked after he tried to bribe a Selangor immigration officer during a raid in Setia Alam on Tuesday. He reportedly offered RM3,000 to the officer in a bid to stop his wife and a friend, both without valid documentation, from getting arrested. A total of 112 foreigners from Indonesia and Bangladesh were arrested in the raid for overstaying and without documents. Selangor Immigration Department director Amran Ahmad said the bribery case has been handed over to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
>Two hours to remove rusty fish hook from boy's eyelid
A four-year-old boy in Tumpat, Kelantan, had to withstand pain for more than hours after a fish hook accidentally pierced his eyelid. The victim was passing the rusty hook to his friend when they were out playing near their babysitter's house when the incident occurred. The friend tried to throw the hook into the paddy field but it got caught in the victim's eyelid. The babysitter rushed the boy to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II to remove the hook. Fortunately, the boy suffered only external injury without any damage to his eye.
