The mother of Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud has denied rumours that her daughter is in a relationship with Bukit Bendera DAP MP Zairil Khir Johari. "That is not Dyana. Dyana and Zairil are not in a relationship," Yammy Samat said responding to photographs showing two persons resembling the duo in intimate poses. She said that whoever that was behind the leak of images has bad intentions against DAP and Dyana. Meanwhile, Dyana said she was made a bully victim and the culprits discriminated her gender, thinking she was an easy target. However, she said she would not succumb to such attacks.

Eleven women from India were arrested for prostitution in a budget hotel in Ipoh, Perak. The Perak Islamic Religious Affairs Department which conducted the raid found that the women were paid RM1,000 a month to offer sex to customers, starting from RM30 to RM50. The authorities also arrested two men from Bangladesh and India believed to be their clients in the joint operation with the Immigration Department and Ipoh City Council.
