Tourism industry still faces staff shortage, but it’s improving

WHILE Malaysians are now enjoying the freedom of travelling and contributing to the tourism industry’s recovery, some still struggle with a shortage of manpower to cope with the higher demand.

This is due to many tourism sector workers having left their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic when the country’s borders were closed and even local travel restricted.
