SOUTH Korea and the United States held the “two-plus-two” meeting of their foreign and defence ministers on March 18, which exposed perception a gap on the North Korea issue.
The ministers’ joint statement at the end of the meet did not contain the phrase “denuclearisation of North Korea”. For the South Korea-US alliance, North Korea’s nuclear weapons are the most urgent issue.
