With the goal of transforming financial education for young Malaysians, FWD Insurance Berhad announced the delivery of 40 digital smartboards to 35 schools under the Keramat District Education Office (PPD) on July 24.

Supported by an RM400,000 sponsorship, the initiative aims to equip students with essential financial knowledge, in line with the national Digital Education Policy.

The smartboards, which serve as key tools to promote the integration of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) into the classroom, have already been installed in the selected schools and are being used by students in their learning.

FWD Insurance Berhad chief executive officer Mak See Sen said the company is committed to equipping primary and secondary school students with essential financial literacy skills.

“By investing in these digital smartboards, we are not merely providing tools; we are prioritising the nation’s long-term financial stability by improving literacy.

“This investment in educational infrastructure supports sustainable learning, ensuring students gain the relevant skills and knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions and effectively manage risks.

“Championing financial literacy for all Malaysians, we empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to secure their financial future,” he said.
