SMK Jalan Mengkibol, Kluang, made a mark on the international stage when its principal Noor Azura Jaferri and English language teacher Vishin Nair Chandran were invited to serve as examiner and co-examiner at an international research publication online seminar recently.

The event, hosted by SMA Nasional KPS Balikpapan, Indonesia, also saw active participation from 22 Form Four students from the school in Johor on May 8.

During the seminar, the SMK Jalan Mengkibol students gained early exposure to the world of academic research, preparing them for future tertiary education.

They also got the opportunity to engage with the paper presenters.

The students, who were presented with certificates of participation, were enthusiastic in asking questions and clarifying their doubts, which reflected their growing interest and confidence in the research field.

Beyond gaining knowledge, the students also benefited by improving their critical thinking skills and boosting their confidence levels.

The seminar not only widened the perspective of students on research but also served to strengthen international academic collaboration between learning institutions in the region.
