KLUANG: The Education Ministry is aiming to roll out the single-session system in all schools nationwide by 2030, says Fadhlina Sidek.
She said that there were about 10,000 schools in Malaysia of which more than 9,000 have already adopted a single-session system.
“This is a good development for our education system with many schools already adopting the single-session system.
“However, there are still some issues that the ministry needs to address before implementing the single-session system in all schools,” she said.
Fadhlina said this to the media after attending a National Public Administration Institute (Intan) event for leadership here on Thursday (Feb 6).
She added that many factors that must be considered before implementing it such as physical constraints, the school premises, and other management issues.
“However, the ministry intends to make our schools use a single session so that the schools become a conducive place for our children.
“So in the next five years, we will solve issues of dense schools by building new schools, which the ministry has set a target, as well as upgrading other schools,” she said.
