> Entitled “Advancing MIL in the Digital Spaces: Building the Capacity of Educators”, it will be held via Zoom on Oct 25 (1pm to 3pm).

> The webinar aims to discuss the significance of MIL and its benefits in the digital landscape, and to equip educators with MIL proficiency, enabling them to integrate MIL into their classrooms seamlessly.

> The invited speakers are: Dr Triveni Goswami Mathur, a media and communication practitioner and academic; and Assoc Prof Dr Masitah Ahmad, an academic at the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Rembau Campus Information Science Centre.

> The webinar is organised in collaboration with Seamolec (Indonesia), Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Centro Escolar University (the Philippines), Bijak Tular (Malaysia) and Kampuchea Action to Promote Education (Cambodia), with the support of the Unesco MIL Alliance via Facebook Live and Zoom.

> Every year, the Unesco Global MIL Week helps to raise awareness of the need for an international effort towards helping all people become informed consumers and creators of information and media.

> This year’s theme for the MIL Week, which will be held from Oct 24 to 31, is “MIL in Digital Spaces: A Collective Global Agenda”.
