Malaysian Public Policy Competition (MPPC)


Application deadline: July 31

> Malaysia’s longest running public policy competition will be happening from Aug 20 to 28.

> The grand finals will be held on Aug 28 at the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Auditorium in Sunway University.

> The theme “Digital Empowerment: Erasing Boundaries” tackles the topic of technology integration and digital transformation to promote citizen empowerment and equity in Malaysia.

> How it works: A total of 84 participants in teams of three will compete for a prize pool of RM10,000 (RM5,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 for the top three teams, respectively).

> The winning policies stand to be published in an initiative titled “Beyond Papers”.

> Eligibility criteria: Malaysian (studying abroad or locally); pursuing or has completed a pre-university course, diploma or equivalent, degree

or equivalent in an educational institution; and has not commenced a postgraduate course or tenure.

> Application is free.
