SEVERAL years ago, when I was teaching Ethnic Relationship at one of the faculties where the students were from the same ethnicity and religion, I began by providing them with a piece of A4 paper and asking them to write at least 10 names of their friends from different ethnicities and religions. Not even one of them managed to do so.
The Ethnic Relationship course has since been replaced by Appreciation of Ethics and Civilisation.
