Cultivate love for nature

AS a consumer advocate, I read with much delight the articles on the need to protect our Earth – “Grooming a green generation” and “Start them young” (StarEdu, Feb 27). It is indeed a timely subject.

I have advocated this in many of my writings since my days with the Negri Sembilan Consumers Association in the early 1980s. We must cultivate a love for our natural surroundings from a young age if we are to make children vanguards of the environment.
