Guest of honour: Arokiamary at the ceremony to celebrate her retirement.
SJK(T) Rantau, Negri Sembilan, recently bid farewell to its head teacher Puan Arokiamary Soosainathan.The send-off ceremony fell on the palindrome date 22/02/2022, which is a sequence of numbers that read the same forwards and backwards, and upside down.
Due to the standard operating procedure in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the children were not involved but teachers and some invited guests attended the ceremony in the school hall. Puan Arokiamary had been in the teaching service for 34 years. She was trained at the Lembah Pantai Teachers Training College in Kuala Lumpur for primary school Tamil education from 1985 to 1988.
