Nottingham secures majority ownership of UNM

UNIVERSITY of Nottingham will buy out its joint venture partners in the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) to secure its long-term future in the region, and the 650 jobs and 5,200 students on its Malaysian campus.

Following a partnership of over two decades, University of Nottingham will buy out its Malaysian partner Boustead Holdings Berhad (BHB) in a deal with an estimated value of £23.5mil (RM137.41mil), through a wholly-owned Malaysian subsidiary, to run UNM as the majority shareholder.
