1.46MIL TUNE IN TO ‘SMK: STUDY SQUAD’ ON ASTRO

ASTRO Tutor TV’s SMK: Study Squad is currently the country’s most watched academic show with 1.46 million viewers tuning in to the programme so far.

The programme is part of the education content slate that Astro recently introduced to help students with their revision as schools are still closed.

Astro Tutor TV’s three channels – Channel 601 for primary school, Channel 602 for lower secondary school and Channel 603 for upper secondary school – are available on TV, Astro Go and On Demand.

In addition to what’s available on the Tutor TV channels, Astro’s new online education portal Upped (www.upped.com.my) is to help all Malaysian students revise effectively, for free.

The website houses hundreds of education videos from various school syllabus-focused programmes such as TV Pendidikan, Misi Studi SPM, Pelan A+ SPM and fun learning STEM programmes such as Dekoded and Stemsasi.

Also available are free downloadable notes prepared by Pelan A+ SPM teachers. Students can access it all at Upped.

SMK: Study Squad provides Form 1 to 3 students with revision modules for Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography according to the school syllabus.

To make the lessons more interesting, singer Wany Hasrita, comedian Atu Zero, MY FM and influencer Lizz Chloe and the cast of the Ceria’s comedy series SMK continue to motivate the students and encourage them to catch up together with SMK: Study Squad, which airs every Wednesday at 3pm on Tutor TV Channel 602 and Astro Ceria (611 HD, 631 SD).

Students sitting for the SPM exams can follow 30 Hari Menjelang SPM, a special segment which will be aired on Tutor TV Channel 603.

For 30 consecutive days, from 5pm to 7pm, SPM students can revise their lessons with programmes like Pelan A+ SPM, Misi Studi, Top Tutor and Top Tips.

The programmes cover core subjects such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, History and Science, and elective subjects include Additional Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Principles of Accounting, Economics and Geography.

Committed to ensuring that all students have equal access to education content, Astro has collaborated with the Education Ministry to air increased hours of TV Pendidikan programmes on dedicated time belts on Tutor TV Channel 601 at 10am and 3pm daily for primary schools and on Tutor TV Channel 603 at 11am and 4pm for secondary schools.

Offering over 170 new episodes, TV Pendidikan on Tutor TV channels cover all core subjects and some elective subjects such as Business, Economics and more.

For more flexible viewing options, all Astro education programmes can also be streamed via the Astro GO app and on demand, Astro PVR Box or Ultra Box. Find out more at https://astro.com.my/HowTo.
