Many options await visitors

VISITORS will be spoilt for scholarship choice at the Star Education Fair 2020.

Quest International University Perak Student Recruitment Division assistant manager Jashvin Kaur Rahi said they would be offering merit-based scholarships at the fair in January.

“School leavers with 6As can receive a 100% scholarship while 3As can get 50%,” she said at the Star Education Fair

2020 balloting session at Menara Star recently.

More than 60 exhibitors turned up to vie for the most strategic booths at the fair.

Quest International University Perak will also have a food tasting session at its booth, with the dishes prepared by their culinary students. It will also be conducting one of the career talks in Hall 5.

Jashvin noted that there had always been many queries about medical, engineering and pharmacy courses.

This is a pattern she has seen throughout the five years the Ipoh-based university has been taking part in the fair.

Quest International University Perak will have 16 booths at the fair.

The fair is known as a one-stop centre for students and their parents to obtain information on a range of programmes and professional qualifications.

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) senior marketing manager Chong Sau Mun said: “It’s also a good channel for us to meet parents and students to give necessary advice on education and career options.”

APU will feature 16 booths as well.

Career Advisor marketing manager Jayaceva Dass said there would be merit-based scholarships on offer at the event.

CareerAdvisor is the career and course advisory arm of the BAC Education Group, which owns Brickfields Asia College, BAC College Singapore, IACT College, Reliance College and Veritas University College.

They have also taken up 16 booths.

The Star Education Fair will take place at Exhibition Halls 4 and 5 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11am to 7pm on Jan 4 and 5.

Admission is free.

Booths are still available for interested exhibitors.
