THE education relationship between Australia and Malaysia dates back to 1951, to when the Colombo Plan was first put in place. As Australia’s Education Minister, there is nothing more that I would like than to see than our two countries continue to enhance and grow our relationship through education.
To achieve this, we’ve got to make sure that we continue to understand that any partnership has to be a two-way partnership which is beneficial for both countries. I was so pleased to be able to launch a new partnership that will be cementing the relationship here in Malaysia. It’s the relationship that the University of Wollongong (UOW) has with KDU, which will ultimately see the University of Wollongong become the operator of campuses here in Malaysia.
