Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)- Fast track to ACCA qualification
The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). CAT is a vocational qualification designed to equip qualification holders with skills to support professional accountants.
In June this year, Sunway TES’s outstanding CAT World Prize Winner include Chu Chai Yuen, Ng Jia Hui, Lee Jia Xuan, and Liew Jia Wen who were each awarded the World Prize and Malaysian Prize for Recording Financial Transactions, Management Information, Foundations in Audit, and Foundations in Taxation respectively.
The CAT qualification offers a route into the ACCA qualification and membership to the global body for professional accountants.

ACCA- Prestigious platinum status for the past 16 years
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accounting qualification.
Sunway TES CAE is ACCA’s first international learning partner to be awarded the Premier Plus Status in 2003 outside Europe. The institution later earned a Platinum Approved Learning Status in 2007.
This year, Sunway TES’s ACCA top affiliate went to Tan Lin Fang who was placed first in Malaysia and third worldwide in the March 2019 sitting. The 21-year-old is a high-achiever with three Malaysian Prizes and a dozen of competition awards under his belt.
ACCA offers members a fast-track to reputable employers worldwide, and the chance to lead businesses in sustainable success.

Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB)- Accelerated route to an ICAEW qualification
The Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) is an internationally recognised qualification developed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Providing essential knowledge in the fundamentals of finance, accounting and business, the CFAB programme can allow school leavers an accelerated entry route into the ICAEW programme.
Sunway TES’s CFAB programme provides school leavers with an accelerated route to the prestigious ICAEW ACA qualification.
Its unique approach, which allows both classroom studies followed by a 3-months work-based learning (internship opportunity), offers a holistic learning experience and equips students with relevant skills to be an adept Chartered Accountant.
CFAB offers strategic alliances with Authorised Training Employers (ATEs) such as BDO, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, the Sunway Group and more to provide work-based learning. CFAB students will progress into ICAEW Professional level for 1 year and subsequently secure a 3-years ICAEW Training Contract with the ATEs to complete the ICAEW Advanced level.

ICAEW is a world leading professional membership organisation that provides leadership, as well as practical support to over 181,500 chartered accountants and students worldwide. It works with governments, regulators and industries to maintain the highest standards.
Sunway TES represents ICAEW’s only active partner-in-learning in Malaysia. The ACA qualification by ICAEW is considered a leading business and worldwide finance qualification and recognised in practice, industry, commerce and the public sector.
In this year’s March examination, Ling Joo Yee and Teoh Chu Shan were awarded the Joint First Place and the Spicer and Pegler Prize in the Professional Stage Order of Merit for Financial Accounting and Reporting.
Also in the June examination, Lee Gah Man was awarded the Joint First Place and the Spicer and Pegler Prize in Financial Accounting and Reporting. While Tan Zong Lee was awarded the First Place and the Knox Prize, as well as the Professional Stage Order of Merit in Tax Compliance.
