RECENTLY, I had the rare opportunity to help out at a kindergarten concert and graduation ceremony. To me, handling crying kids or putting on makeup for kids is no easy job. I was only tasked to be the emcee of the event and didn’t have to do the above, but I witnessed teachers handling almost 100 kids with passion, patience and joy.
I have managed four munchkins, a.k.a. my nieces and nephews, over a period of, say, a few hours occasionally and at the end of it, I almost died of exhaustion. But these kindergarten teachers are doing it full time for at least five days a week with probably a class of at least 20 children. I salute them for having the patience with the children.
