IN appreciation and recognition of Emeritus Prof Tan Sri Dr Abu Hassan Othman’s contributions in strengthening the quality of higher education in Malaysia, HELP University conferred the inaugural Distinguished Academic Leadership Award on him at a special ceremony in conjunction with its 31st convocation in Kuala Lumpur recently.

Coming from humble beginnings, it was his perseverance in his quest for education that saw him first qualify as a teacher.
