THE options that await students who have completed their secondary education and plan to further their studies can be confusingly numerous. In Malaysia, a student generally has at least eight different routes to follow in their journey to achieving a dream career.
These routes include the nation’s Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), government matriculations, the United Kingdom’s A-Level certification, the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD), Australian Year 12, Canadian Year 12, and the American and Canadian transfer programmes and individual university foundation programmes.
