Dramatic storytellers win movie passes


ADVENTURES and mayhem were the flavour of the month as students aged between 12 and 19 flooded our email account with 10-word stories that incorporated the word “spooky” in their tales.

Budding novelists let their imagination run wild in the Halloween month when The Star’s Newspaper-in-Education (Star-NiE) programme organised a movie ticket giveaway titled Drama in Words. The passes, sponsored by Golden Screen Cinema (GSC), earns each ticket winner a movie pass for two.

Haunting stories like “Mother’s spooky amber eyes were beautiful; so I kept them” were one of those heart stoppers that topped our list! Congratulations to our 25 winners whose stories made us cringe in fear:
