We love Malaysia

Diversity, our strength: Year Six pupils of SK Bukit Lanjan (Asli) about to begin their sewang dance. They wore the T-shirt templates over their traditional costumes made of woven pandanus and nipah leaves. About 75 eager beavers, mainly Temuan pupils, spent an hour decorating their T-shirt templates and assembling the Jalur Gemilang.

The Jalur Gemilang is held in high esteem and schoolchildren across the country raise the flag in a show of loyalty to the nation.

A DETERMINED Year One girl with large, entreating eyes that pleaded to be given a flag and a T-shirt template, despite teachers repeatedly asking her to leave the hall as the activity was meant for older pupils.
