EFFORTS by the Malaysian AEON Foundation to improve facilities in rural schools received the thumbs up this week from Deputy Education Minister Datuk P.Kamalanathan.

He said not all the 10,000 schools in Malaysia had adequate resources to provide comfortable learning facilities for their students and any efforts by private corporations to complement the efforts of the government was welcomed by the ministry.
