TAR UC open day

TUNKU Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) is having an Open Day at all its campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah from 930 am to 5pm today.

The programmes during the Open Day in the Kuala Lumpur Main Campus include academic counselling, career guidance talks, cooking and baking demonstrations, campus tours and more.

Science fun

Develop or enhance a love for science by checking out Petrosains, The Discovery Centre’s wide range of activities for this school break.

Children and their families can explore the “Face Your Fears!”, thematic programme that runs until Jan 4.

The programme showcases the science behind fear and paranoia as well as how we react to fear.

All in a safe and fun environment.

There will be hotspots located throughout Petrosains called “Space”, “Sparkz”, “Exploration”, “Platform” and “Refinery” with activities related to fear.

Petrosains is also organising a promotional campaign tie-up with the Warner Brothers’ movie: “The Hobbit – The Battle of The Five Armies”.

In the interest of road safety education and awareness, the Petronas StreetSmart exhibition will be held until the end of May.

The exhibition is to educate the public, especially school children, through interactive exhibits and activities that simulate real-life situations on the road.

Education conference

THE Educational Resea-rches and Publications Associations (ERPA) International Congresses on Education will be held in Athens, Greece from June 4 to 7, 2015.

The conference aims to bring together members of the international research community for discussion about current issues in the field of education.

The theme of the congress is “Interdisciplinary Research in Education”.

Official congress languages are English, Greek and Turkish.

The deadline for abstract submission is May 6; registration deadline is May 15; and full paper deadline June 26.
