FOR hundreds of years, William Shakes-peare’s words have captivated with their wisdom, wit, and beauty. It’s said his plays are timeless, lending insight into the constants of human nature regardless of time and place.

At Sekolah Menengah Maran2, 12 members of Form Four, under the direction of English Teaching Assistant Elizabeth DeMeo, have performed Romeo and Juliet and King Lear. These students have different reasons for wishing to perform these classic works on stage.
