Prof Hassan is the second eminent personality from Asia to receive the award.
PROF Datuk Dr Hassan Said is the first Southeast Asian and second person in Asia to be conferred the award of an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Toulouse (UOT), France in a ceremony held in Toulouse recently.
Through the conferment of this award, Prof Hassan joins the ranks of high-ranking international personalities such as former Finnish president Mauno Henrik Koivito and former Czech Republic president Václav Havel as recipients of this award.
