The Himalayan nation’s kamlari girls, sent away as slaves are subject to abuse and sexual violence by their masters, but activists are trying hard to put an end to this practice.

NINE-year-old Manjita Chaudhary had never spent a night away from her parents when her father sold her to a Nepalese policeman for US$25 (RM83)
