New VC for UKM next year


AFTRER being at the helm of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as vice-chancellor for eight years, Prof Tan Sri Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin will be stepping down at the end of the year to make way for Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali (pic).

The current deputy vice-chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) will assume his new position in January next year.. The Higher Education sector of the Education Ministry said in a statement that his appointment was based on his vast experience in academics and administration at both international and national levels.
