THERE is a scientist in every child, said former United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) astronaut Dr Daniel Barry who came to Malaysia recently to help instil an interest in science among students.

With both his children getting PhDs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr Barry says that he “must have gotten something right” in terms of fostering his children’s interest in science.
