Looking into needs of special kids

I REFER to a report in The Star (Oct 5) about the 16-year-old autistic boy who scored 5A’s in UPSR and 9A’s in the PMR Trial exam. Congratulations to Mohammad Danial Zainuddin from Pahang for his extraordinary achievements. I believe commitment and diligence were the key to his success.

My daughter is also autistic. She scored straight A’s in her UPSR and PMR. In her case, credit should be given to the teachers of SK St Anne Convent (Kulim} and SMK Sultan Badlishah (Kulim) for their extra support, tolerance and acceptance. I would like to extend my appreciation to both schools in motivating and nurturing her.
