An elevation of a different kind

RECEIVING accolades passes as second nature for Tan Sri James Foong Cheng Yuen but the eminent judge’s recent award – an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws – was pretty momentous.

For starters, it was a mark of appreciation from the University of the West of England in Bristol (UWE), for his distinguished membership of the English and Malaysian Bar and his influence in developing the Malaysian legal system.
