HAVING spent eight-and-a-half years at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute in Sweden – one of Europe’s largest universities which appoints laureates for the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine, Assoc Prof Chow Sek Chuen of Monash University Malaysia is no stranger to cutting edge research.
In fact, he’s seen the best the world has to offer as he also had a one-year stint at the famed Mayo Clinic in the United States, before returning to Karolinska to start a research group.
