Sweet news for cake lovers

THE International Centre of Cake Artistry (ICCA) recently opened its third and largest cake artistry centre in Malaysia.

Located in Kota Damansara, the new centre was launched by the Selangor State Exco for Welfare, Women Affairs, Science, Technology, Innovation and Culture, Rodziah Ismail.

The centre houses a wedding cake consultancy room, two cake decorating rooms, a baking training room, a retail centre offering an extensive range of cake decorating tools as well as a cafe.

In addition to its cake decorating courses under the American-based Wilton Method, ICCA now offers the Squires Kitchen (UK) Diploma in Professional Cake Decorating and Diploma in Professional Wedding Cake Decorating.

It has also introduced the first ever Wilton Better Baking Programme Certificate from the United States.

“It has been fulfilling seeing both men and women taking up the courses and launching their own businesses,” said ICCA CEO and founder Rosalind Chan, who added that the centre used computer-aided design (CAD) technology.
