Unemployed grads urged to become NS trainers

THE National Service Training Department is inviting unemployed graduates to fill up the posts of National Service Training Programme (NS) trainer.

Its director-general, Abdul Hadi Awang Kechil, said those selected would begin their duties during the second intake of trainees on March 18.

“The appointment will be on a contract basis,” he said in a statement released recently.

According to Abdul Hadi, the department needed some 3,444 trainers for the multi-skills and physical modules in 83 NS camps nationwide.

Multi-skills module trainers (Grade 27) would be offered a monthly salary and allowances of between RM1,644 and RM1,844 while physical module trainers (Grade 17) would be paid between RM 1,215 and RM1,415.

They would also be provided with various perks including medical benefits, lodging as well as free food.
