SIGN UP for the Best School Newspaper Awards 2005 contest workshops and pick up invaluable tips on how to put together a four-page newspaper. And win pizza vouchers in the process!

Eight half-day workshops will be held in the Klang Valley and various states between March 7 and March 31 (see below) to help prepare students for the contest which is open to primary and secondary schools.

Students will be given pointers by The Star’s journalists on how to come up with their own school newspaper as well as the contest dos and don'ts. There will also be a hands-on session on writing news stories and laying out a page.

Details of the contest, which will be launched on April 5, will be disclosed at the workshop. With more than RM2.5mil worth of prizes pledged by Pizza Hut, this year's contest promises more attractive prizes. There are also surprises in store for the winners. It will definitely be worth the effort!

For details of the contest, look out for the Star-NiE bumper issue on Wednesday, April 6.
