WHEN Nilai International College (Nilai) held its Open Day recently, it did so in style.

The occasion was not celebrated in some cramped office building or shopping mall but was held in its garden campus, on lush lawns amidst cool blue skies and perfect, green tranquillity.

The day also saw the launch of the new diplomas in nursing and hotel management.

Visitors enjoying themselves taking rides in a hot air balloon on the campus grounds.

The visitors who thronged the campus were treated to an interesting line up of activities including a street soccer challenge, getting dunked, a giant obstacle race and rock climbing.

Even young children were not left out of the day’s festivities when they put colour pencils to paper and showed off their colouring skills in a contest sponsored by A & W. There were also academic counselling sessions and career talks as well as entertainment by pop groups.

Besides the fun, students and parents were given guided campus tours to enjoy the breathtaking vista of 105 acres of rolling greens.

The evening ended with visitors enjoying trips in a hot air balloon to catch a bird’s eye view of the sprawling campus and the nearby Nilai township.
