GOOD news for school leavers interested in a career in the hotel industry. There are about 150 job vacancies currently available under the Hotel Industry Apprenticeship Scheme (HIAS) organised by the Human Resources Ministry, Youth and Sports Ministry and Taylor's College School of Hospitality and Tourism (TCHT).
Specifically designed to provide school leavers with the opportunity to be trained for work in the hotel industry, the HIAS scheme provides free education and training, plus a job at sponsoring hotels.
