THE Public Services Department (PSD) has set up a group under its service unit to examine proposals from the National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) that senior teachers be exempted from the Assessment of Efficiency level (PTK) for promotions.
Passing the PTK is one of several criteria that a civil servant must fulfil before being eligible for salary increments and time-based promotions under the Malaysian Remuneration Scheme (SSM).
