IT was definitely a concert with a difference.
Sri Cempaka School’s annual concert was honoured by the presence of three Malaysian dignitaries – the Prime Minister’s wife Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood, former PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Ali.
All three were present as proud and loving grandparents to witness their grandchildren’s prize-giving ceremony and performances.
Themed Our World, Cempakans presented a show that bore testimony to the children’s multiple talents as they took the audience on a breathtaking cultural extravaganza.
The school had a successful academic year, maintaining its 15-year record of 100% passes in the UPSR examinations, with more than 50% of its pupils scoring 5As. Students also achieved 100% passes in the Cambridge University English examinations, with many scoring high distinctions.
It has, indeed, been a good year for the school.
