New Kukum registrar

NORTHERN Malaysia University College of Engineering (Kukum) has appointed Rusli Abdul Hamid as its registrar. 

Rusli, 53, replaces Ku Halim Ku Ariffin who has since moved to the institution's Centre for Communication Skills and Entrepreneurship. Rusli was previously Perlis Economic Planning Unit director and deputy state secretary (development). 

Born in Padang Perahu, Kedah, Rusli graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a degree in science. He was with the Primary Industries Ministry (now known as Plantation Industries and Commodities Ministry) for 12 years and currently holds a master's degree in marketing from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
