WHAT stuff are good teachers made of?As today is Teachers' Day, and I am a former teacher, teacher educator and university lecturer, I'd like to take the opportunity to share my views on what stuff good teachers are made of.
In order to understand this, we might need to explore the psyche of teachers of substance, so to speak, as this would provide some guidelines for selection of prospective teachers into teacher training colleges as well as encourage a deeper understanding of self for teachers already in the profession.
