THE race towards finding Malaysia’s best speaker has begun as judges weeded out participants in the preliminary rounds of the English-Speaking Union of Malaysia’s (Esum) Public Speaking Competition 2004 held last week at KDU College in Petaling Jaya.
Working on his speeches and rehearsing until 3am the night before, 18-year-old Adrian Sasha Paul was among those who were shortlisted after competing in the gruelling and nerve-wracking three-round preliminaries.
