IT was a terrific surprise for Team Trilobyte, which was declared Gold Winner of the HSBC Young IT Entrepreneur Awards 2004. Earlier, thinking they had faired poorly in a Q & A session, the team members were crestfallen.
“We thought that was it, that we had blown it; we felt that we did not answer the questions well at all. We did a lot of hard work, we practised our speech and slides over and over again but then we thought that maybe we did not prepare for the questions enough, and that we did not cover all the angles,” says Gary James Ganesan, leader of the team from the Asia-Pacific Institute of Information Technology (Apiit).
