Blazing a trail to orang asli village

THE steep path was made worse with rain, mud, leeches and other jungle insects, but that didn't stop 16 plucky students from Systematic Petaling Jaya from trudging up the mountain path to visit an orang asli village in Bentong, Pahang, recently.

Guided by a native, the hour-long trek was worth the sweaty effort for the students who are members of Systematic's Youth Ablaze Christian Fellowship (YA). Along with two of their lecturers, they were greeted by smiles and given a warm welcome by the orang asli community when they reached the village.
