THERE are two types of sponges – one is soft and absorbent, the other is hard and non-absorbent. While the hard sponge can be used to stick artificial flowers, soft sponges can hold water and the water can be squeezed out.
Expecting someone to do a good job of soaking a hard sponge with water is unreasonable. To reprimand the person for not using the right technique of pouring water onto the sponge is laughable. But does anyone realise that a lot of people are compelled to do this kind of impossible task?
