SUNWAY College is hosting a talk by Prof Mike Gregory, head of the Institute for Manufacturing and Management, a division of the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge, UK. Malaysian manufacturers, academic staff and students are invited to attend this discussion if they want a more in-depth understanding of the British manufacturing industry. 

The talk will be held tomorrow at 11.30am to 1pm at Auditorium 7, Sunway College, 5 Jalan Kolej, Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya. Admission is free and open to the public. 

 

o KDU College's School of Hotel & Tourism Management has been appointed as an authorised training centre to conduct the IATA (International Air Transportation Association) and UFTAA (Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association) courses.

o TAYLOR'S College and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) have signed a MoA to offer a 3+0 Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science. Students will have the option to transfer to RMIT after the successful completion of three semesters at Taylor's. 

The course, commencing in February 2004, offers electives in database, compilers, system analysis and software engineering, artificial intelligence, data communication and graphics. For more information, visit Taylor's website at www.taylors.edu.my. 

 

o UNIVERSITY College Sedaya International (UCSI) has signed an MoU with Business Learning Association (BLA) of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to host business round table forums for its students. Under this memorandum, BLA will provide speakers from the industry and UCSI will host the sessions, which are also open to the public. 

The round table forums will be the venues for the exchanges of viewpoints, problem sharing, solutions and advice from the panellists and participants in a mutually beneficial environment, both from the academic and practical point of view.
