UM gets RM1.25m to rebuild hall


UNIVERSITI Malaya's (UM) Dewan Tunku Canselor (DTC), which was destroyed by fire in June 2001, has been rebuilt, thanks to a public donation drive initiated by the New Straits Times and UM. 

A cheque for RM1.25mil was handed over by Reconstruction Fund Maintenance Committee chairman Datuk Noordin Abdul Razak to UM Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Hashim Yaacob at a ceremony recently.
