IN the recent IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examination over half of the grades obtained by Garden International School (GIS) students were A* and A grades. Ronald Halim equalled the school IGCSE results achieved last year by Cheah Wei Ying and Chua Guan Leong by scoring 10 A grade passes with 9 A*s. What made Ronalds achievement even more remarkable is that he joined the school as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) student in Year Eight.
Other high achievers were Boo Guobin and Mohan Aravind who scored 8A*s and 2As, Annette Lin Yingcui with 7A*s and 3As, and Caroline Cheah, Yap Le Suen, Narula Anisha, Lee Zhe Yang and Eugene Lim who also scored 10As.
