13 schools hawk wares at Gurney Plaza

THE young and enterprising from 13 schools made their debut at a real marketplace – Gurney Plaza in Penang – in an event, themed YE goes to Gurney Plaza. The students set up stalls selling items ranging from bags to notebooks, greeting cards, name cards, bookmarks, hair clips, photo frames, potpourri, keychains, woggles, candles, autograph books and even model essays!

“We wanted to inject more excitement into the YE programme by introducing our young students to the real marketplace. By putting their items on sale here, students will gain from the practical experience of marketing their products and interacting with customers,” said Datuk Tan Bian Ee, YE Penang area chairman and president of Agilent Technologies Malaysia and Singapore.
